How did he proposed ?

I proposed to him at his sold-out Rebel show back in June 2020. I had his band in on it, they invited me up on stage and I asked the crowd for their help and to read my jacket when I turned around and it read “will you marry me?” With a very big “yes” box and a very small “no” box. Obviously, he checked yes

How do you choose your Wedding venue ?

We chose Tercero on a whim really, we saw they had a vendor night and we wanted to meet some vendors but once we walked in we fell in love, we knew it was our venue and looked no further.

How did you tame your wedding day nerves?

I would say I was not nervous at all. I keep getting compliments for how calm I was. I was just excited to marry my best friend. Trevor on the other hand hates getting ready too early and waiting around, it makes him antsy. And he was ready an hour before me just pacing around the venue. It made the moment we finally had our first look even sweeter because he was so ready to see me.

What one moment will last with you both forever?

All day we both kept just looking at each other and crying saying we couldn't believe it was real. The day truly felt like a dream come true. But our favorite moment that we will cherish forever was when everyone left out front for our send off and we got to have on last private dance alone.

What song did you walk down the aisle to?

I walked down the aisle to First Day Of My Life by Bright Eyes and Trevor walked down to The Only Exception by Paramore. We both chose each other’s songs

What was your biggest surprise on your wedding day?

The biggest surprise on our day was our pastor getting Covid and forgetting to tell us. So we scrambled and I met our new pastor ten minutes before walking down the aisle. Thankfully Pastor Jeff was amazing and had all of our other pastor's notes and the ceremony went off without a hitch!

What song played for your first dance?

Our first dance song was Heartbeat Here by Dashboard Confessional. Our best friends Rachel Kennedy and AJ Peacox played and sang our first dance song and our mother/son and father/daughter dance songs as well.

What was your wedding inspiration?

Our wedding day inspo was a music festival theme. We wanted it to feel like you were walking into a music festival from the second you arrived. We had “security” waiting at the door to check IDs to see if you were on the guest list, and wristband you to get in. We had vendors such as a coffee cart and a Photobooth and a popcorn stand while the live music was playing. We even had our own wedding logo made for posters, and set up a merch table set up for the wedding.

Describe some of your favorite wedding details and how you came up with them?

Our hands-down favorite wedding detail was having Caffio Coffee cart at our wedding. They have a line the whole night! And who doesn’t want a latte after dessert?

Any other decor elements you wish to mention?

Decor elements that NEED to be mentioned are the floral guitars that Root And Anther made for our welcome table/sweetheart table. They were absolute stunners. Along with Sweet Devine going above and beyond to decorate our cupcakes at our dessert table to look like records. All the little details that came together to make it feel like it was a themed music festival wedding.

Describe some of your favorite fun moments ?

We had Ever So Sweet by The Early November play while we cut our cake. We know it’s a sad/depressing song to play at our wedding but we always love to scream “ever so sweet you baked it in cakes for me” and right when it was about to play that line while we were cutting our cake, the music cut out and I was just screaming the lyrics alone. Trevor looked at me and said “this is my favorite moment today. This is why I married you” and everyone was laughing. Such a sweet moment before he tried to get cake on my beautiful makeup-Ed face.

What advice would you give to future brides for their wedding day?

The advice I would give to a bride on their wedding day is to really soak it all up and not stress the little things. You are getting to marry your best friend!! And truly that’s all that matters. You will remember that over anything that goes wrong.

What advice would you give to future grooms for their wedding day?

Trevor would give the advice to future grooms that it really only takes 5 mins to put on a suite so you don’t have to spend all day uncomfortable, put it on last.

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

The coolest thing about being married is having your partner with you by your side no matter what. You get to have movie marathons and sleepovers every night and a person who stands by your and supports you. It’s pretty great. 10/10 would marry my best friend again.

Any words you would like to say about having Lumiere as your photographers?

Lumiere was absolutely AMAZING to work with. I truly cannot put it into words how awesome it was having them with us through our big day. We became besties immediately. From the moment they arrived til the moment we left, everything ran so smoothly because they kept us on schedule. And our photos? An absolute DREAM! We get so many compliments on our wedding photos. They were everything we wanted and more!
